Every Shake Hatteras has a theme—and a @swell.chelle.arts (Chelle Sheridan) design. Months of work—starting with lineup talks with Barry while he’s in Mexico and ending with final picks for Shake Hatteras—always begin with these two talented humans setting the stage for the poster.

Their process is deliberate: as themes, color palettes, and locations evolve, so do the bands, the added details, and the characters (all real people from the history and present of Shake Hatteras).

Posters drop today at Shake Hatteras IV, and, just like the poster, it’s at Neptune’s Rodanthe. Doors open at 1 PM; music and arts go all night.
